Mortalidade por Acidente Vascular Cerebral no Vale do Jequitinhonha e correlação com o Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano: um estudo ecológico entre 1996 e 2016

Objetivos: Avaliar a correlação da incidência de mortalidade por AVC com o IDH, em municípios do Vale do Jequitinhonha. Métodos: Estudo ecológico realizado em março de 2019 a partir da análise de dados secundários disponíveis no Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade da Secretaria de Vigilância em Saúde do Ministério da Saúde. Foram coletados dados sobre a taxa de mortalidade por AVC de 1996 a 2016 e suas diversas variáveis em cada município que compõe a região ampliada de saúde Jequitinhonha. Resultados: Dos óbitos por evento cerebrovascular agudo não traumático ocorridos no intervalo avaliado nos municípios da RAS Jequitinhonha, 79,52% foram por acidente vascular cerebral não especificados como hemorrágicos ou isquêmicos, enquanto 14,03% foram por hemorragia intracerebral, 4,66% foram por hemorragia subaracnóidea, 0,78% foram por outras hemorragias intracranianas não traumáticas e 0,99% foram por infarto cerebral. Conclusão: O AVC ainda cursa com altas taxas de morbimortalidade principalmente nas populações menos assistidas.
