In this work, Mie scattering theory was used, applying the methodology in the calculation of the absorption shock section of silver nanoparticles with a radius of 3 to 17 nm immersed in water. Therefore, the Mie series for extinction and scattering shock sections were deducted and the absorption spectrum was simulated with the Mieplot package. The simulations showed an intense range in the absorption spectrum with peaks between 384 and 396 nm and maximum efficiency for nanoparticles with a radius of 9 nm, as well as redshift as the radius of nanoparticles increases.
