Abstract

Ao longo deste artigo, apresentamos, como continuidade à discussão apresentada no trabalho anterior [1], uma primeira discussão sobre algumas das principais bases de referência utilizadas em Astronomia. Da mesma forma, esperamos que o presente texto possa ser utilizado ao longo dos
cursos de Introdução À Astronomia das atuais graduações de Física e áreas afins.

Author Biographies

P.C.R. Poppe, Departamento de Física - UEFS

Possui graduação em Física pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (1990), mestrado em Astronomia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1994) e doutorado em Astronomia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1998). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana e Diretor do Observatório Astronômico Antares/Museu Antares de Ciência e Tecnologia. Atua como professor permanente nos Mestrados Profissional em Astronomia e Acadêmico em Computação Aplicada. Possui experiência na área de Astronomia. Atualmente, desenvolve pesquisas com Galáxias Peculiares: Espectroscopia e Fotometria, a partir do pós-doutorado realizado no Laboratório Nacional de Astrofísica/MCTI, entre os anos 2005 e 2006. Atua também nas áreas de Astrometria (sistemas de referência, conexão entre sistemas de referência, análise temporal do diâmetro solar) e de Instrumentação (astrolábios, telescópios). Foi membro das Comissões dos Programas dos Observatórios do Pico dos Dias e Gemini.

V.A.F. Martin, Departamento de Física - Observatório Astronômico Antares - UEFS

Possui graduação em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1986), mestrado (1991) e doutorado (1998) em Astronomia pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é professora titular da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana. Tem experiência na área de Astronomia Fundamental - confecção de catálogos estelares e conexão entre sistemas de referência, especialmente entre sistema óptico e sistema rádio de referência. Realizou pós-doutoramento na área de Astrofísica Extragaláctica - galáxias aneladas peculiares, no Laboratório Nacional de Astrofísica/MCTI entre os anos 2005 e 2006. Atualmente dedica-se à pesquisa em Galáxias Aneladas Peculiares: espectroscopia e fotometria. Foi coordenadora do Mestrado Profissional em Astronomia da UEFS desde sua criação em 2013 até junho/2019. Faz parte do Banco de Avaliadores do INEP/MEC desde 2007. Esteve na presidência da Comissão Própria de Avaliação da UEFS desde a implantação em 2008 até 2019. Coordenou a Pós-Graduação/PPPG da UEFS entre 2017 e 2019. Atualmente coordena a Graduação da UEFS-PROGRAD.
