TeVeS: uma alternativa ao modelo da matéria escura

A materia escura continua sendo um desafio para a Física, uma vez que ela não é detectada nem existe um modelo teórico que possa prever de maneira clara a sua existência. No entanto, ela é necessária tendo em vista que as curvas planas de rotação de galáxias só são compreendidas pela imposição à força de sua existência. Por outro lado, na década de 1980 foi proposta uma modicação da gravitação (MOND) de tal maneira que não seria necessário impor uma componente não-visível. Em 2004, Bekenstein propôs o TeVeS, a mais completa e bem-sucedida teoria da família MOND. Contudo, tanto as teorias da famlia MOND quanto o postulado da matéria escura possuem pontos fortes e fracos.Downloads
