About the Journal

The Journal of Materials Science and Non-Conventional Technologies (NOCMAT Journal) is an electronic publication of the Graduate Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering  (PPGECEA) at the State University of Feira de Santana, in cooperation with the Brazilian Association of Materials Science and Non-Conventional Technologies (ABMTENC). It is published annually, with articles released on a continuous flow basis.

The aim of the NOCMAT Journal is to disseminate original scientific articles that provide novel contributions in the fields of construction materials, structures, and non-conventional building systems. This includes recent developments and advances in earthen construction, biomaterials, the use of waste in construction, alternative binders, bioarchitecture, and innovative technologies for sustainable communities.

In addition, the journal also seeks to publish works involving life cycle analysis, additive manufacturing, low-carbon materials, computational modeling, as well as the dissemination and application of non-conventional materials and technologies.
