Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- All authors of the article have actively participated in the work and agreed to its submission.
- The contribution is original and unpublished, and it is not under review for publication in another journal.
- The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Author Guidelines section.
Articles
Scientific articles published on a continuous publication basis.

Copyright Statement
Copyrights will be transferred to the journal for online publication with free access and for print archiving purposes.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides open access to all of its content, based on the principle that making scientific research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and citation of an author’s work.
All journal content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
This journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record.
Authors must avoid misrepresentation of research results, which can undermine trust in the journal, the credibility of scientific authorship, and ultimately the entire scientific enterprise. Maintaining the integrity of research and its presentation is supported by adherence to good scientific practice, which includes:
• The manuscript must not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously.
• The submitted work must be original and must not have been published elsewhere, in any form or language (in whole or in part), unless the new work represents an expansion of the previous one. Transparency regarding material reuse must be provided to avoid concerns about text recycling or self-plagiarism.
• A single study should not be divided into multiple parts merely to increase the number of submissions, whether to different journals or to the same journal over time (a practice known as “salami publishing”).
• Simultaneous or secondary publications may, in some cases, be justifiable, provided certain conditions are met — for example, translations or manuscripts intended for a different readership.
• Results must be presented clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation (including image manipulation). Authors must follow field-specific rules for data acquisition, selection, and processing.
• Data, text, or theories from others must not be presented as if they were those of the author(s) (“plagiarism”). Proper credit must be given to all sources, including material that is copied verbatim (or nearly so), summarized, or paraphrased. Quotation marks must be used for directly copied passages, and permission must be obtained for the use of copyrighted material.
Important note: The journal may use plagiarism detection software.
• Authors must ensure that they have obtained permission for the use of software, questionnaires, surveys (including online surveys), and scales in their studies, when applicable.
• Both research and non-research articles (such as Opinion, Review, and Commentary papers) must cite appropriate and relevant literature to support the claims made. Excessive or inappropriate self-citation, or coordinated efforts among authors to inflate citation counts, are strongly discouraged.
• Authors must avoid false statements about individuals or companies, as well as descriptions of behaviors that could be interpreted as personal attacks or accusations.
• Research that could be misused in ways that pose a threat to public health or national security must be clearly identified in the manuscript (e.g., dual-use research). Examples include: generating harmful effects from biological agents or toxins, compromising vaccine immunity, unusual risks in chemical use, or the application of research/technology for military purposes.
• Authors are strongly advised to ensure that the author group, the Corresponding Author, and the order of authorship are correct at the time of submission. Changes (addition or removal of authors) during the review process are generally not permitted, except in justified cases. The reasons for such changes must be clearly explained.
Changes to authorship will not be allowed after the manuscript has been accepted.
Generative AI Usage Policy
Authors must declare the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies during the manuscript preparation process at the time of submission.
NOCMAT Journal recognizes the potential of these tools when used responsibly, assisting researchers in working efficiently, gaining critical insights quickly, and achieving better outcomes. However, the use of AI must adhere to the following guidelines:
Responsibility and Ethics
While AI tools may be used as support, they must never replace human critical thinking, expertise, and evaluation. AI technology should always be applied under the supervision and control of the authors.
Ultimately, authors are solely responsible for the content of their work. This includes responsibility for:
-
Content Verification: Carefully reviewing the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and impartiality of all AI-generated content (including the verification of sources, as AI-generated references may be incorrect or fabricated).
-
Authenticity: Thoroughly editing and adapting the material to ensure the manuscript represents the author’s original contribution and reflects their own analysis, interpretation, and ideas.
-
Transparency: The use of any tool, whether AI-based or otherwise, must be clear and transparent to readers. If AI tools have been used, a disclosure statement is mandatory (as shown in the example below).
-
Privacy and Rights: Ensuring the manuscript protects data privacy and intellectual property by verifying the terms of use of any AI tool adopted.
Authors must not list AI tools as authors or co-authors of the manuscript. Authorship implies responsibilities and tasks that can only be attributed to and performed by humans.
The use of AI tools must be reported in a specific section at the end of the text, inserted before the reference list. This statement will appear in the final published work.
- Declaration: Declaration of AI Use: During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL / SERVICE] for the purpose of [REASON]. After using this tool, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the published article.
-
This declaration does not apply to the use of basic tools for grammar, spelling, or reference formatting. If there is no generative AI use to declare, this section is not required.
To protect authors' rights and research confidentiality, NOCMAT Journal does not permit the use of generative AI (such as ChatGPT or similar tools) by reviewers or editors during the peer review and manuscript evaluation process.
