Abstract

The taxonomic treatment of the single species of the genus Alcantarea (Bromeliaceae, Tillandsioideae) that occurs at the state of Bahia is prsented. Alcantarea nahoumii (Leme) J.R. Grant inhabits inselbergs in a transitional area between the Atlantic Forest and Caatinga and also other rock outcrops in Campos Rupestres vegetation.
