Lamiaceae and Verbenaceae from Inselbergs of semi-arid of Bahia, Brazil

An account of the Lamiaceae and Verbenaceae species from inselbergs of semi-arid of Bahia is done. The materials studied comprise collections from the study areas and specimens from herbaria collected in other localities. A total of 15 species were registered: Aegiphila integrifolia, Hyptis fruticosa, H. pectinata and Marsypianthes chamaedrys (Lamiaceae); Lantana camara, L. canescens, L. fucata, L. sp., Lippia elliptica, L. microphylla, L. pohliana, L thymoides, Priva bahiensis, Stachytarpheta angustifolia and S. bicolor (Verbenaceae).
