Abstract

Bees are considered the main pollinators of the angiosperms’ flowers in different ecosystems, including high altitude areas like the “campos rupestres”. In this study we investigated the species of angiosperms and visitant bees in three areas of “campo rupestre” in the Chapada Diamantina, State of Bahia. We registered 110 individuals of bees, belonging to 26 species which visited 18 species of plants. Bombus brevivillus, Trigona spinipes, and Euglossa sp. were presented in these three areas during the study period. The species of the families Anthophoridae and Apidae were the most frequent in three areas.
