A NOÇÃO DE CONSONÂNCIA EM LEIBNIZ

Este trabalho investiga a concepção leibniziana da consonância sob o prisma de sua inserção ou não na tradição pitagórica da teoria da música. Parte-se de uma breve contextualização histórica da discussão desde os pitagóricos até a época de Leibniz. Em seguida, busca-se argumentar que, embora encontrem-se, nas ideias de Leibniz, elementos que denunciam uma influência do pitagorismo, sua posição sobre o tema é mais bem caracterizado como um rompimento com essa tradição.
