DA TERCEIRA PARA A SEGUNDA PESSOA E VICE-VERSA

Résumé

Resumo: Este trabalho versa sobre as abordagens de segunda pessoa e de terceira pessoa para atribuição de estados mentais. A partir da metade do século XX, aproximadamente, considera-se que a perspectiva mais apropriada para uma compreensão da mente é a partir da psicologia de senso comum, ou seja, a capacidade natural que temos de atribuir estados mentais para explicar e prever o comportamento dos outros. Sem isso, não seríamos capazes sequer de manter um diálogo com alguém. A atribuição de estados mentais foi muito estudada a partir das atitudes proposicionais, como crença e desejo. A partir do trabalho de Diana Pérez, pretende-se dar um passo atrás e olhar para atribuições de estados mentais a partir das emoções compartilhadas antes da aprendizagem da linguagem.

ABSTRACT: This paper is about the third and the second person perspectives for mental attributions. Since the middle of the 20th century, approximately, it has been common to consider that the most appropriate perspective to study the mind starts from the folk psychology, that is, our natural ability to attribute mental states in order to explain and predict the behaviors of others. Without it, we wouldn’t even be able to talk to anyone. The attribution of mental states has been extensively studied based on propositional attitudes, such as beliefs and desires. Using Diana Pérez’s work, we intend to take a step back and achieve an approach to the attribution of emotional mental states that is based on emotions that are shared before the language learning.
