Flora of Bahia: Mayacaceae

A floristic treatment of Mayacaceae in the state of Bahia, Brazil, is presented. The family consists of herbs that grow on swampy areas, lakes and rivers around Americas and Africa (one species). One genus and five species are recognized in Mayacaceae; four of them are found in Bahia. Analytical key, descriptions, illustrations, photographs, maps and general notes on the species are presented.
