Parasitary cysts were hystologically found for the first time in the kidney of Amphisbaena vermicularis Wagler, 1824 and A. alba Linnaeus, 1758 which were collected in the municipality of Feira de Santana, state of Bahia, Brazil. The morphological analysis of the cystic structures suggests it is a representative of Coccidia. Fecal surveys are being carried out to obtain oocysts for the identification of the parasite species.
