About the Journal
Sociobiology publishes high-quality reviews and original research articles on systematics, biology, ecology, genetics, evolution, behavior, and management of social insects (except manuscripts on botanical extracts for pest management). Short notes are also published, but we are more interested in scientific notes that address biology, ecology, sociality, genetics, and behavior, rather than simplistic notes, such as descriptions of new species occurrence records. We advise authors to describe the scientific hypothesis being tested explicitly and to apply robust quantitative/statistical analysis in their submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts of an anecdotal nature will not be accepted.
