As habilidades de Análise Linguística/Semiótica e Produção de Textos em um livro didático de LP do PNLD 2022: uma análise sob a ótica do sistema da transitividade

Abstract

In accordance with the National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC), the textbooks of the National Textbook Program (PNLD) are organized into competencies and skills. In this sense, this research aims to describe, in the light of the Systemic-Functional Grammar (SFG) Transitivity System, the AL/Semiotics and Text Production skills of the Portuguese: Connection and Use collection, which is part of the PNLD - 2022. The research corpus comprises 13 skills from the AL/Semiotics and Text Production practices, from the volume intended for the 9th year of elementary school, units 1 and 2, Reading 2 sections. The analysis procedures were divided into three stages: i) organization of the AL/Semiotics and Text Production skills, ii) segmentation of the skills into sentences and iii) analysis of the processes, participants and circumstances in the skills. The analysis showed a predominance of cognitive mental processes followed by transformative material processes, which reveal an emphasis on thinking and doing. About participants, texts are mostly considered as objects of knowledge, which reveals partial progress towards exploring the extralinguistic level of language. Finally, most of the circumstances explain the required learning context, which occurs at sentence level, in the texts read and produced by the student and in the narrative genre (AL/Semiotics skills) as well as in different textual genres (Text Production skills).
