O funcionamento do espaço de enunciação entre Libras e o português: reflexões do lugar de significação do sujeito surdo

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the functioning of the enunciation space between libras and portuguese based on the reflections made by Eduardo Guimarães in “Semantics of the Event”, a discipline inserted in studies about the History of Linguistic Ideas in Brazil. In this sende, we analyzed the functioning of the two languages: Libras – Brazilian Sign Language and Portuguese in it constitutive relationship with their speakers from utterances produced by deaf individuals in posts on the twitter social network, which reflected the existing conflict in the functioning of the enunciative space. Thus. We will present how the contact between these languages is constituted by their modes of circulation, as well as their place of meaning for the speaking individuals. This relationship between languages speakers and languages points to an unequal confrontation, because the portuguese language within the enunciative space of the national territory works directly as the official language and consequently the national language. Differently the Brazilian sign language, which has only legal recognition as a means of communication and expression of the deaf community, although it is a language as much as the portuguese language.
