Crenças e atitudes linguísticas: um estudo de caso em comentários do Facebook

Abstract

It is in social networks that we can observe several propagations of the notion of error, ranging from comments to jocular publications, since it is in these places of virtual interaction that many individuals take advantage to correct the writing of other users and carry forward the homogeneity of the language. In this sense, this paper aims to analyze and describe the linguistic beliefs and attitudes manifested through comments from Internet users of the social network Facebook. This work is justified by the need to analyze and reflect on how the beliefs of some Internet users influence their linguistic attitude towards the linguistic variation found in the writing of other users on the network in question. The research is of an explanatory nature and qualitative approach, having as corpus images with posts and comments collected from some pages on the social network Facebook. It is concluded that in face of the linguistic variations expressed on Facebook, it is noted with great incidence the linguistic prejudice arising from negative attitudes of individuals who inferiorize, stigmatize and discredit the variant used by other individuals.
