CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE O PIXO A PARTIR DE WALTER BENJAMIN

Abstract

The article aims to weave some interpretations about the practice of pixo, as observed in the city of São Paulo, based on some concepts by Walter Benjamin, such as: verticalization of literature, allegory and flânerie, based on the works One-way street, Origin of German Baroque Drama and Passages. These works provide a critical framework for thinking about the relationship between the poet and the city, in an approximation of what is understood today as urban art, which includes the act of graffiti or pixo. The tagger, in this sense, is understood as a flâneur, in the Baudelairian sense, who is inspired by the streets of the city, at the same time as he casts an allegorical gaze on it, characterized as an act of desecration of the sacred or emptying of the symbolic.
